Great Plains offers several different hitch options for added versatility. These include the Center Pivot Hitch, Precision Fertilizer Hitch, Sub-Soiler Hitch, and Pull Hitch.
Features
Center pivot design (CPH & PFH)
This design features a pivot halfway between the rigid 450 lb. preloaded coulter and double-disc opener. It works like an articulated 4-wheel drive tractor, with the rear opener track following the front coulter track precisely! There is no drifting on side hills or cutting corners on curves – just perfect tracking and seed placement, all the time.
Rockshaft lift (PFH)
The heavy-duty rockshaft system features automatic pivot locks that engage when raised fully to the transport position. It provides plenty of lift capacity to pick up a full planting unit and onboard fertilizer and improves the lift speed.
Weight can be transferred hydraulically from the tractor to the coulter bar to ensure consistent, proper coulter depth. If more weight is needed, add up to 2,000 lbs. to the built-in mainframe weight bracket (optional on PH & PFH).
Coulter choiches (CPH & PFH)
Choose between a wide ¾" wavy blade, a 5/8" Turbo coulter blade that is aggressive and prepares a mini seedbed ahead of the opener, or a 5/16" fluted coulter blade that penetrates easily (CPH).
Fertilizer tines (PFH)
Spring steel fertilizer tines with stainless steel nozzles run directly behind the coulters for excellent placement of liquid fertilizer.
Pivot stabilizer (CPH & PFH)
Shock absorbers mounted at the pivot between the tongue and frame stabilize the hitch, creating smooth field turns that reduce wear and improving the seed placement consistency of the attached drill or planter.
Optional 300-gallon fertilizer tank (SSH)
The SSH turns a 3-point no-till drill into a pull-type machine and is rugged enough to carry an optional 300-gallon tank.
Optional piston pump (PFH)
The ground driven piston pump provides accurate application rates. Rate changes can be made quickly and easily.
Optional flat-fold markers (CPH & PFH)
Heavy-duty no-till markers are engineered with the structural integrity and weight needed to penetrate no-till soils and residue.
